Developer

April - August 2016 • Buffalo, NY

What I liked

I like what I have learned from internship. A lot of skill sets that will not learn from school because you can instantly use the skill that you learned from the people there and apply on the task.

What I wish was different

I wish I could be more confident in asking questions.

Advice

Always ask how and why. This is because those words are very power tools of learning. Never afraid of asking people questions about something that you do not know.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

December 2016 • Buffalo, NY

What I liked

I love working with the group of people there. Everyone is really friendly and always willing to help if I have questions. Most importantly, I am gaining valuable experience on the daily duties of a researcher and what it is like to conduct independent research.

What I wish was different

If I could change anything, it would be the flexibility in schedule. Working in animal research is heavily dependent on being to able to work most days which makes work/life balance difficult.

Advice

Try research. It is impossible to know if you will like something until you experience it first hand.
